NOTARY SERVICE

There are multiple Notary Publics available each business day at the library.
Please review the following information should you require this service.

Notaries acknowledge signatures, meaning the person whose signature needs to be notarized MUST be present.

Your document should be filled out completely, but NOT SIGNED. *You must sign in the presence of the Notary.

If your document requires witness signatures, you must bring your own. *Library staff cannot serve as witnesses.

Our notaries may not take their stamp off of library property. For traveling notaries or questions beyond our scope, please contact the WV Secretary of State's Office.

We DO NOT notarize I-9 forms or birth certificates.

We CANNOT provide legal advice.

We reserve the right to refuse to provide any notary.

Notary service ends 30 minutes before library closing time.

The charge for notary service is $5.00 per page/packet.

Notary Publics can be located at the circulation or reference desk. (Branch libraries also have Notaries.)
*When paying by debit or credit, photo ID must be presented.
