"Our library has been serving the community of Sophia since November 1974. We have seen many changes through the years, but our mission remains the same.

We have thousands of materials available for checkout with over 400 new books and movies, with new purchases made every month.  Our patrons also have access to e-books, e-audio, and magazines through WV Reads. We have three public computers and wi-fi access throughout the building. We also have a fax machine, printer, and copy machine for patron use.

Numerous programs are offered throughout the year including Preschool Story time, Summer Reading, and more. We always have crafts and activities on hand to enjoy here or to take home.

Our mission is and will always be to provide free access through a wide range of materials and specific services designed to meet the needs of our community."
